Minimum wage
Insp Graham Blackwood, from UK Immigration Service, said: “Four vans believed to be carrying workers to the Kent area were stopped.
“Our intelligence would lead us to believe these people are involved in food packing and food processing jobs.”
Tauhid Pasha, from the Joint Council for Welfare of Immigrants said: “The issue is not what right they have to come here but the issue should really be what we should be doing for the British economy.
“We need to allow these people to be properly registered, to pay national insurance, pay taxes and allow them to earn the minimum wage and to not exploit them.”
